housing Rent or Buy

Okay, rent or buy a house?

rent, never have to pay to fix it up, All repairs are on the landlord, some places all utilities are included and best of all at the end of the year no Taxes. yes, that is a big pro to renting,

Buying, it is your house you can do what you want with it, remodel it change things, new kitchen, new bathroom, add on and expand it, but all repairs are on you, all bills fall on you, lights, cable, heat, air conditioning during the summer. and the big Con, taxes, the average house that ir=s worth 150,000.00 is around four grand or higher, yes that's a lot for a house that you own. I mean, after all, you pay for it, so why do we have to plat taxes on something that we have already paid tax for it when we bought it, of course, that goes to the federal government, so I guess the state and city feel left out and get their share.

Renting, the landlord is responsible for all repairs but what they don't tell you is that they don't have to, they can choose to fix it if it is something you did not cause like the roof, the appliances if they break, the water pipes break, or leak, the toilet breaks, the heat stops working. repairs that fall on you. you put a hole in the wall, tear up the carpet, break the fridge or stove, anything you cause to break or just break then they can make you pay extra to fix it.

But they don't have to fix anything, they can refuse or just fix it. But if they do you can refuse to pay rent, yes you can refuse to pay rent if they refuse to fix something, its that simple.

yes they may take you to court but the odds are the judge will ask them why they will not fix things and will side with you and not evict you for it, he will say hey, you want your money then fix things, it is a law they have to make repairs or you can live for free, A judge will not evict you for nonpayment of rent if the landlord refuses to fix things.

So rent or buy? I have rented my whole life and have now gotten my credit good, so think I will buy a house, Then I won it, I can make changes if I want, add on, remodel, whatever I want to do, but I will have to pay taxes at the end of the year. Uggggg but will it be worth it? would like to hear from people about what you think about it. Rent or buy?
