Dead beat Parents

Young men, or boys who have not grown up yet, meet a girl and she gets pregnant, they did not want kids they were just looking to get laid, and OOOPS a baby is conceived. That was not in the plans, The girl was not supposed to be able to get pregnant, she was on both control, what they did not know is that there are literally hundreds of drugs that counter react birth controls pills, or devices and the woman can get pregnant. So the young man or really any man capable of getting a woman pregnant is now going to be a father, the woman may be upset about it, but she has no choice but to accept it and start a new adventure with a child, but the guy has an option he can bolt, never look back, he does not have to raise the child he can leave and go on with his life. Child support is ordered and he will pay, but that does not mean he has to be a part of the child's life, he can choose to if he wants, or leave and let the responsibility to the mother. He is labeled a deadbeat dad or babies daddy and rightly so, because he is not in the child's life at all, there for he is for a lack of a better word, a sperm donner.

But there is another parent out there that society does not recognize or is not heard of very much, can you guess what that is? Dead beat mom, yes I said dead beat mom. Yes, they are out there, just like a dad, moms can be deadbeats too, I know I raised three daughters on my own for 8 years, fortunately, she was not that way she was a part of their lives and paid child support, not much but she paid. But there are a to of women out there that don't pay child support or give the baby to the dad and say "see ya". whatever the reason may be, she did not want kids, it was a mistake, she was too young and could not handle being a mom, or just wasn't ready for kids, no matter the reason, they still leave and the dad has to take the job. Regardless of the reasons they still leave and have nothing to do with the child.

But we do not hear much about that side of the story, it is not often you hear the words Dead Beat mom or babies, momma, or egg dinner. Why? what is the difference between a man doing it or a mom doing it? why is a man scrutinized for it but not a woman? women talk about it in public and with each other the man is run down and verbally abused by men and women alike, and justifiably. But a woman is not bashed, talked about, and verbally abused by anyone when they do it. So my question is Why? is it socially unacceptable to do it? Is it hushed up because it is a woman? Regardless of gender, both should be shunned for doing it, it is unacceptable for any adult to treat a child like that, they are those ones who suffer the most, they are the ones who have to grow up without one or the other in their lives, they have to grow up in a world watching other kids play with mom and dad at the park while they play with only one person in their lives. They get teased by other kids for only having one parent, they get bullied and bashed for it.

Parents day? I say we should change mothers day and fathers day to parents day. For mothers day if the woman is single she gets praised for being a mother and on fathers day she gets praised for being stepping up and being a father as well, on fathers day the dad gets praised for being a dad, and the same thing on mothers day for doing the mothers job. So I say let's change it to parents day that way both parents get celebrated and single parents get praised for doing both jobs as well.
